Steve & Holly
TAFT
In 2013, Steve and Holly Taft, ordained Foursquare ministers with a passion for cross-cultural ministry, embarked on a transformative journey that would lead them to start Casa de Fe in Playa del Carmen, Mexico in 2017.
Having served at Westside Foursquare Church in Bend, Oregon in the United States for many years, Steve and Holly felt a calling to extend their mission to a new and diverse cultural setting.
Drawn to the very warm atmosphere of Playa del Carmen, Steve, and Holly along with a crew of laborers decided to make it their mission to create a space where individuals from all walks of life could come together in faith.
Armed with a background in Ministry Training Institute and a heart for community building, Steve and Holly envisioned Casa de Fe as a community of believers where the shared language of love and faith transcends cultural differences.

Joel & Veronica
ARREOLA
After years of faithfully pastoring the Spanish congregation at Santa Maria Foursquare Church, God led Joel and Veronica Arreola on an exciting new journey in 2018—to serve the vibrant and diverse community of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. In this thriving region of southern Mexico, they are making an incredible impact at Casa de Fe (House of Faith), the only Foursquare church in the entire state of Quintana Roo. Their ministry is essential in reaching and discipling the people in this region, where the need for spiritual transformation is great and the opportunities are boundless.

With over 14 years of ministry experience, Joel and Veronica are a dynamic, bilingual, and bicultural pastoral couple with a heart for empowering others. Born in Mexico and raised in the United States, they understand firsthand the unique spiritual and relational needs of the communities they serve. Their rich cultural heritage enables them to build deep, authentic connections across both Latin American and North American cultures, bridging gaps and fostering unity in the body of Christ.
As parents of four children, Joel and Veronica’s passion for raising up the next generation runs deep. Their ministry is not just about building a church, but about equipping leaders who will carry the torch of faith and continue the work of God long after them.

Their vision is to strengthen the Foursquare church in southern Mexico and raise up passionate, capable leaders who will plant new churches throughout the region. They believe in the power of discipleship as outlined in 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” By investing in emerging leaders, Joel and Veronica are not just impacting their local church—they are sowing seeds for a movement that will transform communities across the Americas.

Beyond his local ministry, Joel is deeply involved with Foursquare Missions International (FMI), where he actively works to connect, equip, and mobilize young leaders under 40 throughout the Americas. Through FMI, Joel is empowering the next generation of pastors and ministry leaders, preparing them to lead, disciple, and plant churches that will bring lasting transformation to their cities and nations. As Matthew 28:19-20 commands, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Joel and Veronica’s journey is a testament to God’s faithfulness and calling.
